Background

DrivenData has spent ten years proving that data science can do more than optimise profits. Through 166 projects, 128 partners and a community of 125,000+ developers, they've built one of the most credible track records in the "data for good" space. But they'd never told that story in a single, cohesive document. The challenge was to take an impressive body of work spanning dozens of domains and distil it into a report that felt both comprehensive and readable, balancing the scale of their impact with the specificity of individual projects.

Impact

The report is structured around three themes that reflect how DrivenData thinks about lasting change: projects (applied work on specific problems), portfolio (compounding knowledge across domains), and people (investing in community and shared infrastructure). We developed the narrative structure, data visualisations and editorial design to make each layer distinct while showing how they reinforce one another. Beyond the report itself, we produced a suite of social media assets to support the launch. The result is a publication and campaign that serves both as a retrospective for existing partners and as an introduction for new ones, giving DrivenData a flagship asset they can use for years to come.
