We partnered with UNFPA Peru to create a bilingual advocacy campaign that uses data to expose the scale and consequences of adolescent and child pregnancy across the country.

Background

In Peru, five adolescents give birth every hour. 4 girls under the age of 14 become mothers every day. For them, pregnancy is always the result of sexual violence. These realities are well-documented in institutional datasets, but the numbers alone weren't cutting through. UNFPA needed a campaign that could translate the data into a public argument—one strong enough to place adolescent pregnancy on the political agenda ahead of Peru's national elections. The challenge was to be both analytically rigorous and emotionally honest, without reducing the issue to shock statistics or abstract policy language.

Impact

We served as strategic partners across the entire campaign, shaping the narrative framework, the visual identity and the delivery strategy. The result is a longform bilingual web experience that weaves personal storytelling with data visualisation: national fertility trends, regional disparities, the economic cost of inaction, and the narrowing window of Peru's demographic dividend. We developed a visual direction that deliberately breaks from standard institutional aesthetics, using collage, photography and minimal charts to keep the human dimension visible throughout. Beyond the web experience, we produced social media assets and a press kit designed for journalists, policymakers and candidates. The campaign is built to function as a political tool, giving decision-makers the evidence and the framing to act.
