Consumer Report

We were Moloco's data storytelling partner to help them bring a story on incremental app growth to life.

Background

A large share of mobile app marketing budgets go to traditional behemots: Google and Meta. However, this strategy no longer reflects where users spend their time. In their campaign called Performance Through Independence, Moloco brings data to life that shows opportunities within the independent app ecosystem. It covers detailed analyses of the incremental lift from marketing channel diversification, insights into app user behaviour and an understanding of how users convert within mobile apps.

Impact

We helped the team at Moloco structure the insights and bring them to life in a visual, interactive story. And we had lots of fun doing it! The creative direction of the report reflects the mobile app theme with its colourful icons and iOS-like animations. The report itself starts out with simple, easy-to-grasp graphics and slowly guides the reader towards more sophisticated interactive visualisations. We also created specific pages for the delivery & food and finance verticals, designed social media and PR posts and a slide deck for sales enablement.
